The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has extended the suspension of football activities for 15 more days due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Based on the conference held today by Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, new decisions were announced in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Egypt have imposed a two-week curfew that starts from 19:00 until 06:00 and is set to take place, starting on Wednesday, March 25th along with other.
Accordingly, a lot of institutions and organizations announced extending their suspension decisions for another two weeks to be in line with the country’s decision and help the containment.
Following the press conference and the decisions taken, the Egyptian Football Association decided to extend the suspension of the football activities and competitions for two more weeks further as of March 30th.
In the world, COVID 19 hits football. In Italy, the hardest-hit European country with 233 deaths from COVID-19, it was announced that all matches will be played behind closed doors until April 3. This week’s Italian Cup semi-finals were postponed to a date to be arranged while a number of Serie A league games were cancelled. Five of those called off last week will now be played behind closed doors on Sunday, including Juventus v Inter Milan.
FIFA and Asia’s football governing bodies are considering postponing upcoming 2022 World Cup and 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers on March 26 and 31.
