European Union is it the end ?

Italian Prime Minister warns that the epidemic may be an eliminator to the

European Union project.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said the European Union faces the risk of failure as a project as a result of the Corona virus outbreak, intervene adequately and coordinated to help European countries which were hit harshly by the epidemic. He added that the European Union must face this challenge, which he described as "the biggest test since the Second World War."

It is noteworthy that Italy and a number of other European countries are trying to push the wealthiest and most hesitant countries to spend in the Union to issue "Corona Bonds" that circulate debts to all member states. Among the countries that strongly opposes this idea is the Netherlands, which has led to disputes between euro zone finance ministers. The Italian prime minister told the BBC that European leaders "on a date with history" should not abandoned it, He also said, If we do not seize the opportunity to breathe new life into the European project, there are real risks of the failure of the whole project. "We have to choose the sectors that can resume their activities," Conti said. "We may start to ease some measures by the end of this month if scientists confirm that this is possible." Conte was praised by many for the way his government had dealt with the epidemic, and a recent poll showed that his popularity in Italy had risen from 46 to 71 percent. But critics say the restrictions imposed in the early days of the spread of the brigade were slow and arbitrary.

Italy maintains that the reason for the large number of cases in the country is due to the large number of tests conducted. While Britain is now conducting 14 thousand examinations daily, the number of examinations conducted by Italy is twice that. More than 50 thousand examinations were conducted yesterday. Conte refused to directly criticize any other country for its lack of checks, but he compared this behaviour to "adapting to the situation in the dark." The gradual decrease in the number of injuries eased the pressure on the intensive care units in all of Italy, although the units in Lombardy and some other regions are still operating at nearly full capacity.

Several countries, including China, Cuba and Russia, have sent medical teams and equipment to Italy to help them tackle the virus. Russia took advantage of this situation in its public relations, and wrote on the aid sent by the phrase "from Russia with love." Russian state television broadcast a tape of an Italian man replacing the European Union flag with the Russian flag.

"Just hinting at that is a great insult to me, which is an insult to the Italian government, as well as to Vladimir Putin, who does not dream of using the situation to pressure us," he said.

But the inevitable fact says that Italy now needs every possible friend, as recent projections indicate that its economy will shrink by 11 percent as a result of the epidemic, and that the national debt will rise to intolerable levels.

All the politicians and the economists are claiming that the West before COVID 19, is way more different than the west after it.
